One brief for recurring questions
Use the same 18 questions for costs, deposits, pets, lease terms and everyday living. Keep unknowns visible so families can prepare focused questions.
PDI MARU / HOUSING PROFESSIONALS
Actual-unit 3D tours, consistent property facts and prepared viewing requests for private rentals around Humphreys. A practical proposal to support families and housing professionals.
Independent private initiative · no official partnership · proposed capture pilot01 / THE WORK IT SUPPORTS
Humphreys housing guidance describes off-post safety inspections, lease review, OHA/LQA preparation and registered-realtor guidance. PDI proposes to improve the information families and realtors prepare before those official steps. Read the official guidance ↗
Use the same 18 questions for costs, deposits, pets, lease terms and everyday living. Keep unknowns visible so families can prepare focused questions.
Let families explore the actual unit’s room connections, storage and kitchen before arrival. Help them visit to resolve the remaining questions.
PDI receives viewing requests and checks availability, costs and dates with realtors. The proposed workflow does not ask housing staff to manage individual tour files or bookings.
A tour alone is not evidence for asking every realtor to participate. First measure missing information, avoidable visits and contact volume in comparable cases, then share the results.
02 / PROPOSED CAPTURE STANDARD
This is PDI’s proposed pilot review standard, not a military housing inspection standard. Capture operators must manually verify room coverage and changes.
Capture the listed unit, not another apartment or a model home. Match the provider’s unit record to its internal listing ID.
Entrance → living room → kitchen → every bedroom and bathroom → storage and laundry. Document stairs, elevators and delivery access where publication is permitted.
Distinguish included furniture and appliances from tenant possessions. Link heating, power, internet, pet and parking information to the fact sheet.
Record capture date, responsible provider and version. Reassess changes to layout or included furnishings; recapture or withdraw as needed. Reconfirm availability on a seven-day basis.
Check permission and privacy, including faces, documents, plates and belongings. Test tour loading, navigation and readability on a phone.
A tour cannot establish noise, odors, water pressure, electrical safety or lease suitability. Furnishing layouts without measurements remain clearly marked demonstrations.
03 / A CLEAR HANDOFF
Explore free information, choose homes and questions, request viewings with PDI.
No furniture rental purchase is required to view tours or housing information.Authorize capture, supply unit, availability, cost and lease details, report changes.
Realtor registration and official procedures remain subject to the responsible authority’s requirements.Capture, organize, review, correct and publish; receive requests and coordinate with realtors.
Agree capture scope, cost allocation, response times and staffing in writing before the pilot.Give feedback on information needs, share the program where permitted and perform official duties.
Public review packets require no PDI operations account or tour-file administration.Browsing, comparison and published tours are free for families. Housing, brokerage and rental costs are separate. Information checks use the same criteria regardless of rental purchases. Pilot capture and Matterport hosting costs must be agreed with participants; they are not promised free in advance.
04 / PROPOSED PILOT · NOT RESULTS
These are proposed scope and targets for discussion, not enrollment or proven results. Start with 3–5 willing local realtors and 20 available units across property types and price bands.
Agree scope, consent, costs and owners. Record existing questions, contacts and visits; capture the actual units.
Review and publish consistent records. Track the same questions, contacts and visits, plus errors and family feedback.
Report family counts and missing data too. Decide whether to improve, extend or expand based on the findings.
Target: actual tour, photo, 18 answers and check date for every pilot unit. Flag gaps for follow-up.
Report the weekly share with availability checked within seven days. Log correction requests and changes; next-business-day handling is a proposed service target.
Compare median questions, contacts and visits per case, with sample sizes. Record differences in family size, budget and area.
Ask consenting participants for usefulness scores (1–5), mismatches and homes ruled out before a visit.
Resolve accuracy and privacy issues, meet update standards and jointly review whether workload and family experience improved.
Outcome collection is not yet operating. Agree anonymous case records, retention and consent before launch. A small before/after comparison cannot establish that 3D alone caused a change.
05 / WHAT EXISTS TODAY
Address lookup, realtor fact entry, staff publication review, photo and tour links, viewing requests, and illustrative furnishing layouts with printable estimates.
Pro3 acquisition, unit capture review, provider participation, operating-cost agreements and pilot measurement remain. Measured furniture placement inside actual scans is not yet available.
See how many references have published tours, recent availability, actual photos and answered questions. Demonstration homes are excluded.
View current readiness →Feedback on a voluntary 20-unit pilot and an appropriate way to introduce it to eligible, interested realtors. This is not a request to mandate capture or imply official endorsement. On-post accommodation is outside this private-rental pilot.
